A Very Venice Photo Shoot | Venice, CA Child Photographer

Last Sunday was a bit crazy in terms of weather. It was hot (80) near my home, and mid-winter (California Winter) in Venice. It was chilly and overcast, but it was perfect for photos. 🙂
My first meeting with this family occurred during last year’s Tales & Toys Fall Mini Sessions. I had a wonderful time with N, T, and their Aunt. This year I had the pleasure of photographing the kids with their mom as well as their aunt and grandmother. I also met Charlie the dog too. There is a lot of love in this family, and it is beautiful to see it come across so honestly in the photographs.

It’s that time of year again! I am excited to announce that I will be partnering with Tales & Toys for a day of Mini-Sessions. Tales & Toys is a wonderful kids store now located at 125 A Richmond St. El Segundo, CA.
Here are the details on how to qualify for one of the sessions…
Last weekend, Tales & Toys had their grand re-opening party. I stopped by to say hi and to grab a couple of photos.
Now that Tales & Toys has a big space in the back, I know they are now offering classes and events. Check out their Facebook Page for more information.

Tales & Toys Photo Contest! | Venice, CA Child Photographer

I had a wonderful time photographing 11 families last weekend at the Tales & Toys mini-sessions event. Venice is such a colorful fun place to take photographs! A huge thank you to Elizabeth over at Tales & Toys and all the wonderful families who came out!
Elizabeth and I are holding a contest for the top image from each session. The four images with the most votes will be displayed over the children’s book section at Tales & Toys. The winners will receive a free 8 x 12 print of the winning image.
The Contest Details:
– All images will be listed with a number.
– Each comment counts as one vote. Please refer to the number when you leave a comment.
– We will total the votes from this blog and from our Facebook Fan Pages to decide the winning images.
Voting ends Sunday, October 17th at 7pm.
Winners will be announced on Tuesday, October 19th.

Here’s what you need to do…
– Stop on in to Tales & Toys between September 1st & September 30th
– If you spend $100, you will receive the opportunity to sign up for a mini-session 🙂 Spaces are limited, so the earlier you stop in the better.
– Return to the Tales & Toys on Saturday, October 2nd for your mini-session.
The top photograph from each session (chosen by Elizabeth & me) will be posted on both of our blogs. You can have friends and family stop by the blogs to vote for their favorite images. The four photographs with the most votes will be displayed as 11 x 17 prints at Tales & Toys! The families with the winning photographs will receive an 8 x 12 print of the winning image.
Can’t wait for October 2nd!
