Yogala Echo Park | Los Angeles Photographer

July 19, 2011

I have been searching for an inspiring yoga studio on and off since my move to Los Angeles.  I was spoiled in NYC with a wonderful teacher, and I have very high standards when it comes to what I expect from a teacher.  Then last March, the lovely Samantha Jones, opened a beautiful studio, Yogala, right in my neighborhood.  I have not only found my yoga studio, I have also made new friends with both teachers and students.  Samantha created a gorgeous space, and I am thrilled that I was able to document it for her.  Every single teacher I have taken a class with has been fantastic.  One of my favorite parts of Yogala is that I am always running into Yogala teachers taking classes.  I think it speaks very highly that teachers make the time to come to classes.

The studio offers a wide variety of classes for both adults as well as kids.  One of the cutest things I have ever witnessed is the Tip-Toe Ballet Class (photos below).

If you are in Echo Park, CA, I highly recommend stopping by and taking a class or two 🙂

Sisters | Los Angeles Child Photographer

June 14, 2011

On Monday, I had the chance to photograph three sisters.  I photographed three brothers before, but this was the first time I photographed three sisters together.  The girls were delightful and full of energy.  Each girl different from the next.  There was a lot of sweet brief moments between the running around.

I had a fun time photographing three sisters.  I would happily do it again.

Here are a few favorites from the day…

Boys will be Boys | Los Angeles Child Photographer

Whenever I photograph young boys, I always marvel at their constant source of energy.  They are human examples of the Energizer Bunny.  Little Mr. H was no different.  We did the usual little boy things…ran down a hill (just because), ran around the yard, looked at the bird house, ate sand, etc.  And then there were the unexpected things that brought him joy, sweeping.  He was so happy to cart the broom around and sweep.

Here are a few of my favorites from our afternoon…

Handsome Growing Energetic | Pasadena Child Photographer

November 19, 2010

I first met these handsome little guys last year.

I was thrilled when their mom contacted me about doing another session.  They have a wonderful backyard.  I love how it still feels like Fall even though we are in Los Angeles.  Being raised on the East Coast, I miss Fall and I appreciate any small signs that remind me that it still exists.

We had a wonderful time.  There is so much love in this family.  Seeing the photos of Mom with her oldest make me smile.  I am head over heels for that series.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Cuter Than a Button! | Los Angeles Child Photographer

November 8, 2010

I could easily have posted another 10 images as favorites, but I had to rein myself in.  Below are a handful from my delightful afternoon yesterday with little Miss Sophia.  I had the pleasure of first meeting her during my very first Janie & Jack / Precious Time Photography Event .  I fell in love the moment I met her.  I was delighted when her mother contacted me a few months later today photograph her 1st Birthday .  I have been watching Sophia get cuter and cuter through photos posted on Facebook, and I was very happy to have the chance to photograph her again.

She ruled the show, but she was also very helpful.  She even patted the seat next to her for her parents to sit before we got their lovely family photo.  She was a pleasure to photograph, and I had a blast 🙂

And yes, she is blowing a kiss in the first series of photos.  Too cute!

Happy Monday!
