Ugly Doll Party | Pasadena Child Photographer

October 12, 2012

Ann, you are amazing.  I never surprised by what you come up with, but I am always in awe.  For example, she made the piñata as well as the cookies and most of the decorations.  Plus, she made smore pretzels for me. 🙂

Ann and her husband, David, own Jumping Jellyfish.  You can find them virtually online here.

Here are some photos from the party…

Baby on the way… | Los Angeles Maternity Photographer

September 28, 2012

I first met Sam a year and a half ago.  She had just opened up a wonderful yoga studio (Yogala Echo Park) in my neighborhood.  18 months later, I am still in love with her wonderful, cheerful, peaceful studio.  I recently had the chance to photographer her and her adorable daughter at the studio.

Here are a few of my favorites from the session…

Courtney Collins & Little Junebugs | Pasadena Photographer

September 15, 2012

Little Junebugs is an amazing space for anyone creative.  Courtney and Brian have done a beautiful job of creating a wonderful, whimsical, inspiring place for children to come and create art.  They also have an awesome book selection and fun gifts too!
Two months ago, I walked into Little Junebugs to discuss partnering with Courtney Collins. Every time I stop in, I walk away inspired (and a bit more glittery, literally).  Every month there is an adult crafting night, so it isn’t solely for kids. 🙂  Within a week of my visit back in July, we came up with the HeArts & Crafts Project.  HeArts & Crafts is a monthly crafting event.  During the event, kids (and adults) make canvases, I photograph the creative process, and a portion of the proceeds go to Pablove Shutterbugs.  Pablove Shutterbugs teaches children living with cancer to express and develop their creative voices through the art of photography.
Our next event is at the end of November from 12pm – 3pm.  You can find out more details by going to LittleJunebugs.com, click on “heArts.”
Courtney’s energy and creativity is infectious.  She makes me look unproductive, which for those of you that know me, know that the last thing I am is unproductive.  I have had a wonderful time photograph all of her various blog posts.  Below are a few of her most recent ones.
gogramgo.com – monthly crafting posts
rhubieandrhett.com – digital magazine launching October, includes Courtney’s amazing DIY Halloween Costumes
With all this creative energy floating around, you can imagine my delight when Courtney asked me to take some portraits of her.  Words cannot even begin to describe how fun and playful this shoot was for me.

Our session included….

Yellow Umbrellas

Jumping

Marc Jacobs Rain Boots

No Rain

Sunflowers
