Beetles & Stripes | Los Angeles Children’s Photographer

I had the pleasure of photographing the S family this morning over in the Pacific Palisades at Temescal Canyon Gateway Park. Once again, my session started off with a little critter encounter – this time it was a beetle. 
There is a lot of love in this family, and it was a blast to photograph.
Here are a few of my favorites from the day…
When I photographed this family in March of 2009 (First Portrait Session), they were my first clients that I did not previously know. I had a lovely time photographing there girls then, and I had even more fun photographing them this time. This time around their mom helped me come up with what is now my most favorite location. Perfect light, lots of texture, such a fun spot to shoot in.
I love the last shot of the post. I was just about ready to walk to my car when I saw the girls playing on a step. I am very happy I took my camera back out to capture that shot. So sweet!

Tade at 9 months | Los Angeles Child Photographer

It is very hard to believe that Tade is almost 9 months old. It feels as though he was just born. I had a lovely afternoon with everyone.
When I arrived Tade was sound asleep with his both arms under his head (see below). And as always, Hazel assisted me on the shoot. She did a wonderful job keeping her younger brother’s attention

Lena’s Third Birthday | Los Angeles Child Photographer

It feels like I was just at her second birthday, yet yesterday, I helped celebrate her third. I keep looking at the photographs, and I find myself thinking how much she looks like a little girl. The first photograph was taken at her second birthday. The remaining images were taken yesterday. Lena became a little unnerved when the cake came out, but luckily, the candle went out on its own. The was food from the Mexicatessan in Eagle Rock. YUM! And, once again, Henya outdid herself with her homemade red velvet cake.

I had such a wonderful morning photographing these little cuties! I had so much fun. My personal favorite was the candid photographs that I took towards the end of A and T playing with their dad. Little A was a very good camera assistant too! I would write more, but I am a bit worn out after running around with these guys all morning

I had a wonderful time meeting A and his parents today. He certainly did not want to have his picture taken, but he also didn’t make a fuss I have to give him a lot of credit, because he still let me take a bunch of pictures of him, and he even looked at the camera when I asked him too.
