Improvising | Pasadena Child Photographer

December 11, 2011

For those of you in Los Angeles, you know we had some crazy windy weather a week and a half ago.  Pasadena was very affected by this.  So much so that my clients had to stay in a hotel to avoid all the down power lines.  One of the little upsides to this insanity was that we got to use the Langham Hotel in Pasadena for our shoot.  This allowed us to get the final two shots below.  🙂  They were E’s idea, since she takes piano lessons.    Little A loves emulating his big sister, so we had to take a shot of him at the piano too.

Here are a few of my favorites…

And Stella Makes Four | Los Angeles Child Photographer

Two weeks ago, I had a maternity session with Kristine and Family.  Five days after our session, little Stella arrived three weeks early.

I had a wonderful afternoon meeting Stella last weekend.  Here are a few favorites from the shoot.

Jumping Jellyfish Mini Sessions | Pasadena Child Photographer

I had a wonderful time meeting some beautiful families last Saturday.

A big thank you to Jumping Jellyfish for helping us put this together 🙂

Here are a couple of my favorite images…

Handsome Growing Energetic | Pasadena Child Photographer

November 19, 2010

I first met these handsome little guys last year.

I was thrilled when their mom contacted me about doing another session.  They have a wonderful backyard.  I love how it still feels like Fall even though we are in Los Angeles.  Being raised on the East Coast, I miss Fall and I appreciate any small signs that remind me that it still exists.

We had a wonderful time.  There is so much love in this family.  Seeing the photos of Mom with her oldest make me smile.  I am head over heels for that series.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

S Turns 6! | Pasadena Child Photographer

October 30, 2010

Last weekend, I had the honor of photographing S at his family’s My Gym in Chino Hills.  It is a beautiful space.  I love the mural that is painted all over the walls.  I still am in awe at the staffs’ energy.  Between holding my camera the whole time and watching the staff run around with the kids, I was wiped out by the time I was finished.

I am still working on editing the images, but I wanted to put up a little sneak preview for S’s folks.  I thought the creatures were a good place to start.  Thor’s Reptile Family is responsible for the wide variety of critters.

Have a great weekend!

Ann & David’s Son Turns 2! | Pasadena Child Photographer

September 29, 2010

I want to take a moment to say I am thrilled that Ann took a chance on me back in January when I walked into her store asking if I could put up a display of my photography.  Since then we have built a really great relationship, and I am very happy to be a part of the Jumping Jellyfish family 🙂

Ann and David invited me to their youngest son’s birthday party a few weeks back.  The detail was unlike anything I have ever seen.  Ann, you (and your helpers) did a phenomenal job!  I kind of had an idea of what to expect, because for the first few weeks of September, every time I walked into the store, Ann was gluing something together, whether it was all the individual strips on the invitations or the little pom-poms on the little birthday hats that were put on each cupcake.  She made all the mustaches on a stick too!

Ann, you are amazing!

I hope you enjoy the photos 🙂

The first one is by far one of my most favorite shots.  I know you don’t see L’s face, but to me it is the perfect example of the innocence of a child.
