My first meeting with this family occurred during last year’s Tales & Toys Fall Mini Sessions.  I had a wonderful time with N, T, and their Aunt.  This year I had the pleasure of photographing the kids with their mom as well as their aunt and grandmother.  I also met Charlie the dog too.  There is a lot of love in this family, and it is beautiful to see it come across so honestly in the photographs.

Elizabeth and I are holding a contest for the top image from each session.  The three images with the most votes will be displayed at Tales & Toys.  The winners will receive a free 8 x 12 print of the winning image.

A few months ago, Kristine mentioned they were expecting another child.  It was a delight to have the chance to photograph her family again.  It is a good thing we had the session when we did, because their little one arrived three weeks early (less than a week after our session)!

I cannot wait to meet her!

]]> http://originalkidsbyta.com/blog/2011/08/tales-toys-mini-sessions-el-segundo-child-photographer/feed/ 0 Two Sisters | Studio City Child Photographer http://originalkidsbyta.com/blog/2011/08/two-sisters-studio-city-child-photographer/ http://originalkidsbyta.com/blog/2011/08/two-sisters-studio-city-child-photographer/#comments Mon, 22 Aug 2011 15:10:41 +0000 admin http://originalkidsbyta.com/blog/?p=1113 I genuinely enjoy all of my sessions.  I find kids and the way they see the world incredibly fascinating.  Sometimes things just line up perfectly, and this session was one of those times.  I usually blog about a session after it happens, but this one was a surprise, so I had to keep it quiet for a few months.  It wasn’t until recently that I realized I never posted about it.  When I mentioned that things line up perfectly, I really meant it.  This session was such a delight, and to top it off their 3 year old actually kept the secret about the photo session, so mom was genuinely surprised when she received her gift :)
We had a wide variety at this session from pjs to fancy dresses to playing around.  I look forward to photographing these girls again in the future.  A (the older sister) and E are so different, yet very much sisters.  I adore the photo of the two of them in front of the tree.  The way little E asserts herself as the protector is priceless.
